To me, life seems to be spinning a little faster each year i get older. i find myself laying in bed at night wondering when i will turn around one day and all of a sudden my children will no longer be my little toddlers but teenagers. i am exicted to watch my children grow and learn new things but there are moments when i wish life would could pause for a while or perhapes move slower. i hate knowing that one day those little innocent faces that come in every morning , so eager to see me will one day disappear. that i will soon be looking back at home videos and picture albums remembering when i was a young mother with little ones tugging at my legs. its not that i don't realize how many more years i have to go before i get to that point in my life. Its just that i know that as fast as days and years come and go, it will feel like it's crept up on me soo much sooner than anticipated. sure there are many days i would love to go with more sleep or go without fighting, tantrums and changing diapers. but when i take a moment to stop and just watch my children play, and listen to there cute little voices and watch there curious faces. I can't help, but want time to stand still, so i can have these precious angels to myself for just a little longer.
jaron: mom is my birthday next?
me: no, it's mommy's
jaron: then mine?
me: no, then it's daddy's, then jaces, then brinely's and then it will be your birthday
jaron: and i will be 6!
me: yes, you will be 6 and you will be in kindergarten!
jaron: i don't want to go to kindergarten
me: fine then you can stay home with me ( thinking that would change his mind)
jaron: mom, can i stay home with you forever?
me: jaron i wish you could, i really do.

SO true and SO precious! You'll be so glad you document the sweet things your kids say to look back on. I finally got my first "marriage proposal" from Rocco the other day. Sweetness that surely wont last very long. We must enjoy it while we can :)
So true Erin. It sure seems to fly by faster and faster each year.
Haylie says she never wants to grow up so she can live with us forever. She's afraid if she gets married she'll have to move, because I don't live with my mommy any more because I'm married.
AMEN,SISTER!!!!!!!!
What a sweet conversation with Jaron, I love that. And I agree, it goes by way too fast.
Yeah, but there are always grandkids! Kind of scary to think about, huh?
