A NEW UNEXPECTED PREGNANCEY AND JARON'S FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN

ok so back in may we found out we were pregnant! this was unexpected but we are very happy to soon being having a new little one in our home. 2 weeks ago we found out we were having a BOY! we are very excited and his due date is January 4th. I also had another big event happen this month (at least for me) Jaron started kindergarten! He is going to the academy charter school and they require uniforms, so of course i had to take some very cute pics of my son all dressed up on the first day of school. ( I admit i did cry)

This is VERY rare: this is me 5 1/2 months prego. you will probably never see my face from the front since i hate pics of my face especially when i am prego.

TWO IN ONE WEEK- CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

ON THE FOURTH OF JULY WE WERE ON OUR WAY TO VIEW THE FIREWORKS THAT NIGHT. AS WE PARKED WE TOLD THE KIDS TO STAY IN THEIR CAR SEATS AND WAIT UNTIL WE HAD EVERYTHING PACKED UP. WE HAD BOTH SLIDING DOORS OPEN IN OUR MINI VAN AS WE PACKED THINGS INTO A STROLLER. BRINLEY ( WHO IS OUR CONSTANT NON-LISTENER OR JUST ALWAYS THINKS THE RULES DON'T APPLY TO HER) DECIDED TO UNBUCKEL HERSELF AND STARTED TO PLAY AROUND IN HER CARSEAT. UNFORTUNATLEY SHE AND HER CARSEAT ROLLED OUT OF THE VAN AND BRINLEY TOOK A HARD FALL ONTO THE STREET HITTING HER HEAD AGAINST THE CURB. THE FRONT OF HER FACE HAD SOME BAD SCRAPES BUT WE THEN NOTICED HER HEAD BLEEDING PROFUSELY AND REALIZED THAT SHE MIGHT NEED STICHES. SO WE PACKED EVERYTHING BACK INTO THE CAR WITH NOW 3 SCREAMING CHILDREN WHO ALL WANTED TO SEE THE FIREWORKS. AFTER A LONG NIGHT IN THE E.R. BRINLEY CAME HOME WITH 3 STAPLES. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS A MEMORABLE FOURTH OF JULY. A COUPLE DAYS LATER JARON CAME RUNNING DOWN THE STAIRS AND SLIPPED AND HIT THE CORNER OF HIS EYE ON THE EDGE OF SOME MOLDING AT THE END OF THE STAIRS. LUCKILY HE JUST RECEIVED ONE NICE BIG SHINER THAT HIS FRIENDS THOUGHT WAS TOTALLY COOL. WE DIDN'T REALLY WANT TO TAKE THE KIDS OUT FOR A WHILE SINCE WE THOUGHT WE MIGHT GET SOME QUESTIONING STARES.

Brinley is at the age where she literally drives you to insanity with her constant questions ( in which half are just repeated) and her constant talking about nothing. she just likes to hear her voice. she also does not understand what an inside voice is, everything must be yelled. so this morning i was trying to get ready for church and she comes bounding into my room telling me that she has to go potty. as she jumps up on the toilet she begins her millions of questions as i am rushing around trying to get things done. finally after about the gazillionth question and constant babbling about nothing i instantly with much frustration say " BRINLEY WILL YOU JUST STOP TALKING FOR 2 MINUTES!" she suddenly became quiet and with her throat all choaked up she squieked out " MOM I JUST WANT TO TALK TO YOU" Now i feel incredibly horibble! I then said " I'M SORRY BRINLEY, GO AHEAD I LOVE TO HEAR YOUR VOICE!" She might just drive me insane some days, but i just can't help loving the honesty of children even when they make you feel like a terrible mother.

when I picked up jaron today at preschool, he came running out with a handful of things he made for mother's Day. First he handed me a fresh single red rose, a little poem of how much he loves his mom and then a filled out questionair about his mother. I laughed as I read his answers about me:

( Sure why not, you can never go wrong with chicken)

(Obviously this is jaron's favorite place)

( I do have some green shirts but purple?)

PROJECT #1 (FINISHED!)

I HAVE FINALLY FINISHED ONE OF MY PROJECTS AND THAT WAS MY FORMAL LIVING ROOM. IT TOOK A LOT OF LABOR AND RUNNING AROUND TO FIND WHAT I WANTED EXACTLEY BUT I AM SOO HAPPY THAT IT TURNED OUT THE WAY I PICTURED IT! HERE ARE SOME BEFORE AND AFTER PICS.

I FOUND THIS OLD LADDER AT AN ANTIQUE STORE HERE IN TOWN AND MARK JUST ADDED SOME BETTER STEPS FOR ME WITH BACKING SO NOTHING WOULD FALL OFF.

I ALSO FOUND THIS OLD DOOR AT THE SAME ANTIQUE STORE. IT JUST NEEDED A LITTLE SANDING. UNDER THE LAYER OF WHITE PAINT WAS A VERY YELLOW DOOR AFTER:

I PAINTED IT AND ADDED SOME PICS I TOOK IN FLORIDA THEN ADDED AN OLD DOOR KNOB.I FOUND THIS AWESOME BOWL AND DECIDED TO FILL IT WILL OLD DOOR KNOBS AND OLD KEYS.I ACTUALLY FOUND THIS OLD CRATE AT A GARAGE SALE LAST YEAR AND DECIDED IT WOULD BE GREAT FOR HOLDING MY MAGAZINES. FINALLY THE FINISHED PRODUCT!
